Weaving weft threads are inserted through the fly shuttle technique; weft threads are inserted in a geometric form such as square, diamond, and triangular shape. The selection of warp ends, according to the patterns required, is done behind the shafts. Weaver staggers the two wefts’ meeting points to create the kangri (temple), the elongated triangle. Thus, producing various patterns like Chandrakala, Bavan Baug, Shikari etcetera, depending on how the cloth is tied.
